Comment Policy

Welcome to the Anime Judge community! I value and encourage open and respectful discussion on this site, but our little community has to have standards—which are outlined in this post.

To maintain a positive and inclusive environment, I have established the following comment policy:

1. Respectful and Constructive Comments: Please keep your comments respectful and constructive. I encourage thoughtful discussions, critiques, and feedback related to the anime reviews or topics discussed in the blog post.

2. No Hate Speech or Harassment: Comments that include hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or personal attacks will not be tolerated—they will be deleted. This includes comments based on race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, or any other form of discrimination.

3. Stay on Topic: I appreciate relevant contributions to the discussion. Please keep your comments on-topic and related to the content of the blog post. Off-topic comments may be removed. This includes but is not limited to: politics, NFTs, One Piece, anything where the premise is collecting digital monsters, metal music (exception for Baby Metal), the incredibly frustrating state of the gaming industry, hexagons, intergalactic space wizard cartels, and much more.

4. Avoid Spoilers (DUH!): Try and be mindful of other anime fans who might not have seen the series start-to-finish. I write my reviews from the point of view that, most readers may not have seen the series/movie, and generally try to write around major story beats. Fans should have the opportunity to walk into media blind if they so wish—please be cautious about spoilers.

5. No Spam or Self-Promotion: Please refrain from posting spam, advertising, or self-promotional content in the comments. This includes links to external websites or products unrelated to the discussion. Also, no Discord invite links.

6. Use of Profanity: While I understand that anime can elicit strong emotions and heated opinions, I want to discourage the excessive use of profanity in the comments. Try and be respectful—or at least colorful—with your comment conduct.

7. Moderation: Our moderators reserve the right to review and moderate comments to ensure they comply with this policy. Inappropriate comments may be edited or removed at our discretion.

8. User Accountability: Commenters are responsible for the content of their comments. The opinions expressed in the comments are those of the commenters and do not necessarily reflect the views of the blog or its authors.
